46 Lower Street, Stroud was a great peaceful place to stay. Plenty to do all within easy walking distance including local markets, shops, canal walks & restaurants. The Woodchester vineyard tour was exeptional!We also found a short cut to Waitrose down the castle path, very steep hill down and not for the fainthearted climbing it on the return - but worth it, great views across the valley.Maison Pro were super fast at replying to the couple of queries we had with lighting & wifi.I would recommend booking a location with them every time.

Unfortunately, our stay was significantly affected by cleanliness and insect issues. We found so many woodlice everywhere throughout the cottage, especially in the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen, including on the cushions and cooker. Some were as large as a fingernail. Before going to bed, I had to vacuum the entire upstairs floor because there were so many, and I struggled to sleep because I was worried one might crawl over me.There were also many cobwebs, dirt in the kitchen, and the dishwasher and washing machine were noticeably dirty. The hot water was unreliable, with the shower repeatedly turning cold.We understand this is an old rural cottage, but the overall condition was below a reasonable standard. The hosts investigated and acknowledged that the number of woodlice was excessive and unacceptable. Ce logement était bien placé pour notre séjour dans les Cotswolds, jolie vue sur le jardin, cosy. Lit confortable, bon débit d'eau chaude sous la douche, bien installés. Juste une remarque : quand nous aérions les pièces, des moutons de poussière sortaient de sous le lit/sous les canapés, mieux vaut ne pas être allergique.Comme précisé dans la description, il faut mieux ne pas avoir une voiture trop longue pour ne pas dépasser sur le bord de route longeant le logement quand on est garé. We had a lovely stay at this cosy, homely cottage. The location was great, with the pub right next door being a real bonus. The kids loved being able to play in the park, and the pub itself had a great atmosphere and lovely food.The cottage was exactly as expected everything was clearly explained beforehand and matched the photos. It was cosy and comfortable, and would be perfect for a couple. For our family of four, we did find the space a little tight.It was a little dusty and bitty in places, although given that it’s an old cottage, this was somewhat expected and didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay.Overall, we really enjoyed our visit and would happily recommend it, especially for couples looking for a cosy getaway.

Great central location, right next to the railway station. It's a good sized single-room studio with a separate kitchen and a separate bathroom. Well equipped. The cottage and garden were quaint and beautiful with stunning views across the Cotswolds. Fantastic location for walking our dog. The record player in the front room was a wonderful addition with a fab selection of records to play. We purchased one in Stroud to add to the collection. The old post office look’s tiny from the front but is surprisingly spacious inside. Yes the bathroom is small but modern and functional, as is the kitchen. The old post office has everything you need, although my wife said she couldn’t find an ironing board. Location was why I booked. Kitchen was fully equipped and had what you needed for a weeks stay. Cleaning was surface clean only. Bathroom cold water tap leaked and the hot water was scalding hot within seconds which isn’t normal. The mattress was so old and used it felt like sleeping in a hammock, I left with a bad back. Everything was old and tired and falling apart and was like being back in uni times with mismatched furniture from the 80’s you found on the street. The place had a funky smell. The house was an incredible place to stay for the weekend. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout the weekend whenever we did need to contact them. If I was being nit picky there was one or two strange pictures hung up in the house which isn’t to deter at all, they are easily taken down if you don’t like them and put back up. Wir waren zu viert für eine Woche in Stroud. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Vor allem in dem kleinen, ruhigen Garten und dem gemütliche Wohnzimmer konnten wir uns prima entspannen. Auch Kochen in der Küche funktioniert sehr gut. Sehr praktisch sind die 2 Badezimmer, aber es gibt leider nur ein WC. Die Zimmer sind typisch winzig und die Türen zum Teil extrem niedrig. Die Nähe zur Fußgängerzone ist fantastisch und Stroud ist toll zum Bummeln. Die Straße ist allerdings so schmal, dass man fast nicht einparken kann. Wir haben dennoch immer einen Parkplatz in der Nähe gefunden. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

This is a very nice quiet place to stay if you would like a holiday with town facilities bordering the Cotswolds. A number of the internal doors don't actually latch shut, so pets or small children can go anywhere. We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was cosy and comfortable and the cottage was very clean. Maison Pro were proactive with communication and helpful when we had a short issue with internet which was quickly resolved. Unfortunately, as it was warm the pub 2 doors down was busy and we could hear patrons throughout the evening and into the night. We had trouble finding a parking space on one evening but other than that, managed to park outside the cottage. La cucina era molto fornita, la posizione ideale per esplorare i dintorni e avere un bagno ad ogni piano era l' ideale per noi (due famiglie con 3 bambini). Appena finiranno i lavori ci sarà anche un parco giochi nuovissimo proprio davanti alla casa. Anche il parcheggio era comodo, abbiamo sistemato due macchine senza problemi. We had a fantastic stay at the Kennels, the air bnb was even more spacious than the photos suggested and the setting in the countryside is beautiful! The air bnb had everything we needed and was clean and well set up for us. The team managing the property were proactive with their communication and really responsive! The Kennels was an amazing place to stay with family away from London. There was plenty to do when we stayed in that phones took a back seat especially with my nephews. The outdoor space was lovely for evening chill out and the cutie little bar was a lovely addition. Location made it easy to access other spots to visit and having deliveries made was easy to. Charming period house, sensitively modernised to make it light and roomy. Kirchen mostly well equipped and a lovely view across the valley from the bedroom windows.
