Lovely cottage, great location.

House was extremely well equipped and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Well situated for expliring the Cotswolds esoecually the steam railway and Sudeley castle as well as Upper and Lower Slaughter. We would highly recommend this house.

Very convenient location for walking into town. Everything as described. Good size for 4. We stayed the weekend, but would be very liveable for a longer stay, a cosy, welcoming space.

Paul and I had lovely stay in this quaint Stroud cottage - communication from Dominic prior to and throughout was very professional - all rooms were clean and comfortable as expected and it was a good base for the activities we wished to do in the are…
On what I’d say is an advisory note for the owners, we found it odd that we couldn’t find a dustpan and brush or broom, which would have been handy. The property would also benefit from a proper full-size standard ironing board rather than a desktop one - I’d feel this is particularly important to somebody who might be staying for any length of time. On the same note, the top bedroom didnt have anywhere to hang clothes etc - not really a problem for me as we were only staying a few days. There also seemed to be in issue with the fridge building up with water, we were only staying suggest might be an issue with the door not aligning properly? All in all, we were very happy and these are just observations on some possible improvements…

46 Lower Street, Stroud was a great peaceful place to stay. Plenty to do all within easy walking distance including local markets, shops, canal walks & restaurants. The Woodchester vineyard tour was exeptional!
We also found a short cut to Waitrose down the castle path, very steep hill down and not for the fainthearted climbing it on the return - but worth it, great views across the valley.
Maison Pro were super fast at replying to the couple of queries we had with lighting & wifi.
I would recommend booking a location with them every time.

What a beautiful, quaint little house tucked right into a heritage town! Stroud was a fantastic base for exploring the Cotswolds, and this home played a major role in making our trip so memorable. Its original character has been so well preserved, the beds were incredibly comfy, and the bath was an absolute delight. The interior was tasteful and very cozy. It was perfect for our family stay of four, and we will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

Relaxing stay, with everything we needed. Lots of local shops and bars within easy walking distance and a great base location for short drives to other towns and attractions too.

Wir waren zu viert für eine Woche in Stroud. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Vor allem in dem kleinen, ruhigen Garten und dem gemütliche Wohnzimmer konnten wir uns prima entspannen. Auch Kochen in der Küche funktioniert sehr gut. Sehr praktisch sind die 2 Badezimmer, aber es gibt leider nur ein WC. Die Zimmer sind typisch winzig und die Türen zum Teil extrem niedrig. Die Nähe zur Fußgängerzone ist fantastisch und Stroud ist toll zum Bummeln. Die Straße ist allerdings so schmal, dass man fast nicht einparken kann. Wir haben dennoch immer einen Parkplatz in der Nähe gefunden.
Wir würden gerne wiederkommen.

The house is in an excellent location and very well equipped. Beautiful and private garden with ample outdoor seating. Very friendly pub (golden fleece) at the end of the street.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, a lovely peaceful cottage.
Dominic and Maz were very helpful and extremely responsive with any questions we had.

the place was lovely, very clean and easy to find, parking wasn’t the best but the car park round the corner was only a few mins walk, was just hard to get out stuff in with no parking but other then that the stay was perfect and would highly recommend!

Lovely little 3 story house, was very cosy and had everything we needed for a short 3 night stay and lots of character! Property needs a slight TLC as bath had some stains and door handle came off in our hand! However overall was a lovely stay, nice and clean and good communication from the host! Enjoyed the little touches like board games, money off vouchers for local pub which was amazing and enjoyed reading people’s funny reviews in the visitors book! Thank you very much! :)

Ideal stay with a reasonable price tag. Great space and easy to commute to neighbouring areas. Definitely not for the tallest of people as the beams and ceilings are low but didn’t bother us or hinder the stay. Thanks so much! ⭐

This cottage has been renovated and furnished very well. It has everything you need. Our break coincided with a red alert heat warning and temperatures well over 30 degrees for most of the stay. In a small cottage with the main bedroom in the attic, it did mean the house was very hot particularly in the bedroom. Fans provided. In normal circumstances the cottage would be perfect and we were just unlucky that we couldn’t do the many walks with the dog that we planned.
Maison Pro have been excellent with their communication.

The house was very cozy and homely in a beautiful area. The BBQ was a great addition. Would stay again :)

Lovely little cottage perfect for a few days away. Hosts were super quick and responsive if we needed anything.

We stayed 3 nights and had a great time in market lodge. We found all the space and comfort that we expected based on the ad. The many little pieces of tastefully selected decoration made it feel like a home away from home.
Just as an fyi - it is an old house, with rather low ceilings and visible beams, that lower the clearance even further. I am almost 2,00 meters tall and my girlfriend ist 1,80 meters - for us the constructional specifics of the house really meant some limitations. Still we liked and enjoyed the place very much!
Stroud is nicely located in the Cotswolds as a base, to visit the Hotspots in the area.
I would stay here again if returning to the area.

We had a lovely stay at Market Lodge. The location is great and the property has everything you need. Parking can be a bit tricky but there are lots of roads nearby to find a space.

Tiny, quirky, terraced cottage - limited parking nearby on the very narrow street but we found some on Bowbridge Road near the hospital.

Everything was very good as described. Such a nice house with a fire place, a backyard and bath tub were the highlights for us. Only downside was the rooms not being equal size.

Just returned from our stay in Stroud, great little cottage - everything of a high standard and just what we needed. Good location to be able to walk into Stroud - don't miss the farmers market on Saturday - great produce. We also managed to park in the road outside of the house all the time which was great.

Lovely little cottage in walking distance to Strouds market and restaurants. I was able to park outside - avoid school collection or drop off as its busy as there is a school very close. Other than that the road is quiet and the cottage is lovely and cosy with a nice seating area outside too. Fabulous bath with smellies included! Also a great expresson machine with coffee, tea and milk provided. I was travelling alone and felt very safe and at home. Would definitely recommend 👌

We had a lovely stay in Stroud, cottage is in a great location about 5 min walk to high street and Waitrose. It’s a very old cottage style property over 3 floors with low beams and doors so bear in mind for any tall guests! Main bedroom is at top of house with low sloping ceiling. Nice private garden that gets some sunlight. Would recommended for a short stay close to the town centre.

Fantastic stay

Perfect location if you want to be close to a town with massive amounts of public transport.
Parking on the street can be tricky if you have a large 4x4 but definitely not impossible. The host was clear about the parking. The house was clean and tidy with everything you’d need. Can be cold at times but there is heating and a fire if needed which easily sorted it out.
Absolutely nothing to complain about it was everything you read on there post. Cracking place we will no doubt return!

Myself, my partner and our dog had a lovely stay at Market Lodge. The cottage is perfectly located, with a Waitrose 5 min walk away, and lovely walks right on your doorstep. We had no issues with parking, and were able to get a spot outside the house each night with ease.
The cottage itself was cosy, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and there was ample space. There were some lovely touches, including the host’s guidebook of restaurants and activities to do nearby, and a welcome tray of tea/ coffee and milk in the fridge.
We can’t wait to come back - it was a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in!

We've had a brilliant stay at this 350 year old cottage in quirky Stroud. The cottage was beautifully renovated with an extra bathroom & bedroom built on.
I met up with a friend and we had a lovely time enjoying the quirky, individual shops in town and enjoyed the fabulous Farmers & Crafts Market on Saturday. The whole town came out for that. Make sure you drive up the Commons to walk around and enjoy the amazing views from high up.

Great value for money, and the perfect little quaint getaway in the country. With plenty nearby, Market Lodge was exactly what we needed

We had an excellent short two night stay 3 adults and 2 dogs- we arrived on a very rainy dark night stepped into the cottage and immediately felt at home. Warm and cosy our dogs were happy and settled. Everything was in within walking distance and we had a very chilled relaxed time. Thankyou

Very small negative is parking. It’s busy on street parking and very tricky parallel parking required as street is so narrow. But not impossible so don’t let this put you off booking. This is Stroud where all residential parking is like this. Just be aware.
